Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines constraints and requirements for Users when utilizing virtual private servers (VPS/VDS), NAT VPS, and related services from Cheap-Host.

Usage of Cheap-Host servers must strictly comply with the laws of the equipment hosting countries (Russia, Germany) and the Russian Federation. The account owner is fully liable for all actions executed via their credentials.

Any activities that harm network infrastructure or other Internet resources are strictly prohibited:

• Organizing, participating in, or launching DoS/DDoS attacks, stress-testing without prior written consent, botnet hosting and C&C servers;
• High-speed or unauthorized network scanning (Masscan, ZMap), IP range sweeping, port mapping, or vulnerability probing;
• Any use of BitTorrent or other P2P file-sharing networks: downloading and seeding torrents (via public or private trackers), seedboxes, and torrent tracker hosting;
• Brute-forcing, credential stuffing, network sniffing, traffic tampering, and IP spoofing;
• Mass automated connections to open proxies, running unauthenticated open relay proxies;
• Mass spam mailings (email or messenger spam), including abuse through port 25 (SMTP is closed by default).

Physical node resources are shared among virtual instances. Users must not generate destructive workloads:

• Cryptocurrency mining in any form (CPU/GPU or Proof-of-Capacity/Chia disk mining);
• Continuous 100% disk subsystem flooding (I/O abuse) or network bandwidth saturation degrading performance for neighboring servers;
• Circumventing CPU, RAM, disk quotas, or network traffic rate limits.

Network Traffic & Fair Use Policy: For plans designated with Fair Use (including VPS in the Russia, Moscow location), the standard traffic allowance is 2 TB per month at speeds up to 100 Mbps. Exceeding this allowance does not result in service suspension, server downtime, or hidden charges — the Provider reserves the right to adjust network bandwidth speed until the next billing cycle without taking the server offline. Plans in the Germany location include unlimited traffic subject to standard non-abuse network policies.

Upon receiving abuse complaints or detecting malicious activity, the Provider reserves the right to:

• Throttle resources or network bandwidth;
• Suspend the server or lock the User account without prior notice;
• Permanently delete the infringing server along with disks and assigned network ports without possibility of recovery.

Suspension or termination for AUP violations does not constitute a voluntary service cancellation. In this case, no refunds (including unused period balance) are provided in any form.

If the Provider's IP address or network is listed in reputation databases or blacklists (AbuseIPDB, Spamhaus, DNSBL/RBL and similar) due to the User's fault, including because an unprotected server was compromised, the server is suspended for the duration of the investigation. The owner may submit an appeal with evidence through support within 7 days after the suspension. If the User's fault is not confirmed, the suspension is lifted; if it is confirmed, the measures of this section apply, up to permanent termination. For NAT VPS, confirmed scanning, spam, torrents or network attacks fall under Section 5 (Zero-Tolerance): the server is blocked immediately and without appeal.

Upon permanent termination for a confirmed violation, the server is fully blocked: access to data, temporary startup to copy data, and provision of backups are not available. Permanent termination decisions are not reviewed and servers are not unblocked. If a block was caused by an error of the automated protection system, it is lifted without any action from the User. This does not limit the User's rights under applicable law.
