Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Usage constraints and rules for Cheap-Host services

Last updated: July 16, 2026

1. General Provisions

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines constraints and requirements for Users when utilizing virtual private servers (VPS/VDS), NAT VPS, and other services from Cheap-Host.

Usage of Cheap-Host servers must not violate the laws of the equipment hosting countries (Russia, Germany).

2. Prohibited Content and Activities

It is strictly prohibited to host the following content or engage in the following activities on Cheap-Host servers:

  • Child exploitation material, animal cruelty, terrorist or extremist content;
  • Distribution of illegal substances, narcotics, or prescription drugs without appropriate licenses;
  • Unlicensed content (pirated software, torrent sites, warez portals violating copyrights);
  • Online gambling, casinos, or financial Ponzi schemes (HYIPs).

3. Prohibited Network Activity

Any activities that damage other internet resources or network security are strictly prohibited:

  • Conducting DDoS or DoS attacks, participating in botnets, or managing attack command servers;
  • Unauthorized port scanning, network mapping, or vulnerability scanning without written consent from targeted system owners;
  • Brute-forcing, phishing (creating clones of banks, social networks, or services to steal user credentials);
  • Mass spam mailing (email, messengers), including SMTP abuse (port 25 is blocked by default).

4. Resource Usage Restrictions

Users are prohibited from using servers in ways that lead to degradation of physical node performance or affect other clients:

  • Cryptocurrency mining (Monero, Bitcoin, etc.) — strictly prohibited (both CPU and disk mining);
  • Sustained 100% load of the disk subsystem (I/O abuse) or network bandwidth with malicious scripts;
  • Disguising prohibited activity as legitimate resource usage.

5. Violations of the AUP

Upon receiving verified abuse complaints or detecting malicious activity, the Provider reserves the right to temporarily suspend the server or lock the User's account until the issue is resolved.

In cases of systemic malicious usage (port scanning, DDoS, phishing, mining), the User's account is permanently deleted with no right to a refund.
